[SOLVED] AMD 5900x locked in 4,5 - Whats wrong?

Hey guys,

I just got my pc built yesterday and was testing the CPU and it doesn't seem to want to go above 4,5. I've tried PBO and auto overclocking on Master, and even went and set negativo Curve Optimisation to negative 10 and some other things. On the bios it says 5900x 4,9 but in windows I can't seem to get it pass 4,5. I tested it on some games, AIDA and heavyload. When in stock it hits 4,5 and stays there maxing at around 62-65c. When I enable pbo temps go up to 70c but it still doesn't go up from 4,5. I'm new to AMD so I don't know if I'm missing something stupid or if there is something wrong with my cpu.

The cooler is a Dark Rock Pro 4 and the mobo is MPG B550 Carbon Pro Wifi.

It won't hit 4.9ghz when stressing multiple cores.

It will only hit 4.9ghz when stressing 1 core.

Thank you! Is there a way to test single core? I saw some people in games getting to 4.8-9 and mine seems to hit a wall at 4,5 which makes me worried there is something wrong here...

You could test single core by running cinebench r20

from the setting menu click advance benchmark then run single core benchmark.

I just tested in cb20. It stayed at 4,5 during the whole test, but there as a fraction of a second jump to max 4,9 on some cores. In HWinfo it says the effective clock speed maxed at 4,495..
