Hi guys - Ive been doing a bit of emulation lately and I figured a boost in overclocking here would help a lot.
I've seen with an upgraded cooler you could safely get to around 4.0ghz without problem.
What software should I use to check on my processor and then proceeded to overclock it?
and it should stay under 60c correct?
Ive overcloked before im just making sure I do it right!
thank you.

Here si the link to my cooler:

Hi
The zelman looks close in design to the hyper evo 212 which has been used alot for overclocking.
I personally can't tell you which is better because i am water cooled on all 3 of my systems i built.

As far as 6300 temps 60-65max use
Amd Overdrive for the most accurate temps for fx temps.
You can use it to get thermal margin readings.
In using it for thermals just know higher readings are better lower thermal readings is danger. Try to keep it no lower then 10.
In case you don't know it takes about a 20%load on the cpu to give accurate temps.
So if when you see cpu temps at idle in the teens your not actually in the teens as the isn't a load on the cpu.

You should be able to to get 4.1 easy as that is it's boost clock.
I still have a 6300 running on a gigabyte 970 sli which didn't like a oc but it did let me set the boost clock multiplier where i have it boosting to 4.7ghz.
Good luck
