I just bought a laptop with the A8-4500M & AMD 7640G that came stock with 4gb DDR3 1600 (2x2gb dual channel) and Windows 8 64-bit. I know 8gb is the sweet spot for RAM on a Desktop gaming rig but what about with integrated graphics?

My question is since the 7640G shares the system RAM would I be better off getting one 8gb DDR3 1600 module and adding it to one of the existing 2gb modules (negating dual channel for more system RAM) or getting an 8gb DDR3 1600 Dual Channel kit?

So basically, 10gb single channel or 8gb dual channel?

Edit: System Specs
CPU: AMD A8-4500M 1.9ghz
RAM: 4gb DDR3 1600 (Dual Channel)
GPU: AMD 7640G
HDD: 640GB 5400RPM SATA
Screen: 15.6" 1366x768 LED

I will be doing some gaming on this laptop, mainly Torchlight 2 & Diablo 3, nothing too graphic intensive. I got the laptop new for $380, I figure another $45 for 8gb RAM isn't a bad investment. Also looking at getting another SSD and swapping out the HDD.

Edit: This is the RAM I was looking at Mushkin 8gb DDR3 1600 Dual Channel Kit $47.99
