Hey Everyone, I am helping a friend pick out parts for a new PC build and we are stuck on ram options. We decided the 7700X would be the best suited for the build and from what I have read DDR5 6000 seems to be the sweet spot. We are leaning towards a mostly white build and have narrowed it down to two choices which I will link below. The corsair ram is 6200 cl36 and the Team group is 6000 cl30. My friend already has quite a few corsair items (fans, light etc.) that he is bring over from a previous build so the idea of the corsair ram is appealing since it will work with iCue. That being said we don't want to leave performance on the table so we are looking for input on which ram is faster (if so by how much would you assume) or if they will be the same? Thank you for the help!

DDR5 6000 is as far as you want to go, with Ryzen. Beyond 6000 your infinity fabric to ram ratio goes from an optimal 1:1, to a 2:1.

Thank you for you quick response. If thats the case being that the kit are so close we could just run the corsair at 6000 or get the 6000 kit for $10 less. Have you seen anything pointing towards performance gains form CL30 to CL36? I tried to find the info myself but everything I can find only really compared speeds and not latency.

Games benefit from lower latency RAM.

Thanks guys settled on the Teamgroup ram. Looks like people have been overclocking that to over 7000MHz in some cases so maybe some room for an upgrade on the next few CPU releases

Hi there, I am curious how this turned out or if anyone can advise me? I am considering this combination: Asus X670E Prime Mobo and Teamgroup CL30 2x16GB sticks (FF4D532G6000HC30DC01). I note that there is nothing on the QVL but other teamgroup kits that are similar (though not identical ofc) worked. Anyone know if i will be okay, particularly as its XMP memory? Kind of hoping that i can use the XMP3.0 on the x670e and save myself some money on fast RAM. Thanks in advance!
