Hello, I am wondering whether or not my AMD 8120 OC to 4.0 ghz idling at ~40 degrees C with water cooling is too hot. Currently, I am using the thermaltake water 2.0 pro (which I may change out later). Things I have tried to reduce heat--> Re paste thermal compound (antecs nano diamond), clean out dust, and go back to stock settings. No matter what, my cpu still idles around 35-40 degrees C. Also, I am wondering whether or not changing the voltages would help as well. When I overclocked my cpu to 4.0 ghz, I did not change any voltages due to my amd 8120 being unclocked.

If this helps, recently I upgraded my Raidmax 530 watt psu to an 80+ bronze Corsair 750 watt CXM. I also have a GTX 760 installed.

Solution
I have a 8120 as well. Adjust your voltages, turn off turbo boost. Try shooting for 1.325 volts or lower. Turbo boost applies a hefty voltage dose out of the box. I currently run 4.2@ 1.28 volts.
40C is not that bad. As long as your temps never exceed 80C your CPU will be fine. I don't know about changing the voltage, but as it stands, those temps are not bad, and should be expected from an AMD CPU because they tend to run hot no matter what you do.
