Hello there, I was curious if I could get some general ideas of what would be a good place to overclock my desktop computer to. My specs are:

  • AMD FX8320 Black Edition
    Gigabyte 970A-D3P
    COOLER MASTER Seidon 240M

I'm currently running the system at 4.7Ghz (4.72Ghz reported by CPUID) with a core voltage of 1.45v.
At idle the CPU is at 30 degrees Celsius

Playing GTAV, CPU is at about 50%. Sits at 40 Degrees Celcius.
Loading GTAV, all cores hit 100% and no cores crash in the sort time required for loading the game.

The system runs fine on the desktop and everyday tasks, but when I run prime 95, 4 of the workers crash. Leading me to believe there is some instability in the system.

Cheers for any input!

Yes that's exactly what it means in Prime95. At 1.45V you're nearing the safe limit which I think is 1.5 typically but your temps look good so you could try adding a little more V or dial down the multiplier a bit to get stability.
