AMD 8350 59c Temp IDLE! HELP

Hi everyone, i have this issue with my computer, I have a FX 8350 with Asus M5A97 EVO R2 motherboard and a nvidia gtx 650dc. I just re applied thermal paste to the cpu, turned on the pc and I see that only with google chrome open, the temperature is 59 celcius, once I play 10 minutes of any game the pc shuts down. What can I do? get a new cpu fan or a water cooling system?

What cooler and how much thermal paste did you apply? Too much is bad because it isolates the CPU from the heat sink.

thats far too much. ive just moved from a fx 8320 that i ran at 4.0ghz so effectively like your CPU and idling was very low using a hyper tx3 cooler. idling i can recall being in mid 30's

whats your cpu cooler and what paste are you using
