So I bought the R9-295x2. This card replaces the EVGA GTX 680 SC edition SLI setup I had.
I had wanted for somtime to go to a one card solution that would not only be faster than my 680 sli (2 GB versions btw) but also be more future proof for a later CPU upgrade, plus much more VRAM for later 4k.
I'm familiar with the 8350's limitations in single core performance, in this the 8350 is like a good I5. In games optomized for AMD and multithreading it runs close to a mid-range I7.
All this considered, would those who would know agree that the R9-295x2, on paper should run "faster" and generate more FPS than my previous SLI setup?

On paper thats a decent performance jump, however if you look at the GPU and CPU scores thier not that far off, just a small CPU bottleneck.
Never the less, though performance is smooth in games with the 295x2, I've notice about a 10-15 fps drop in most games as opposed to my 680 SLI.
My rig is this: AMD 8350@4.7, Corsair H80i, Radeon R9-295x2, 32 gig corsair dominator @1866, Corsair hx1050w psu, Samsung 840 pro SSD, Thermaltake armor revo chassis-5 case fans.
I've also metered my rig from the wall and at full load it never went over 815 watts.
So opinions on the card, It's effective longevity and my 8350.
Always appreciate the help and kind advice from the Tech Heads here.
