So I just got my amd8350 and as soon as I turned it on and had a look at the cpu temps as the fan was really loud and it was showing anything from 50C-60C. This is quite worrying and I dont really know what to do, I have reapplied the thermal paste and made sure the fan was mounted correctly and it is still at 50C idle! Also I want to buy a fan for this however the screws for the hypermaster 212 evo are too big for the holes in my motherboard so I cannot use that cpu fan.

Solution
well your motherboard though got a heat sink as far as i can remember it's only rated for 95 watt and isn't suitable for 125 watt cpu's besdies you should have atleast got a 970 chipseat not 780 .
well for air circulation i meant do you got cabinet fans or extra fans attached with it? if yes then are they properly placed as it would be one fan would suck fresh from outside and throw in the cabinet and another will suck the hot air form the cabinet to the outside. do check those and if you are running on stock amd heat sinks please change them change them now. look at TX3 evo if you please or anything similar which might attract your attention. as 62c on the core and 70 for the socket is the acceptable thermal limit for your chip.

the problem is your motherboard, it's not ideal for an 8 core cpu, but there are some steps that could help,
1-add an intake side case fan (if your case accepts that), make sure the fan has high cfm and rpm to ensure lots of air is being pushed
2-get a good cooler that is top down one, for example CoolerMaster GeminII SF524

Ok, thanks I will be returning that motherboard and will be buying this motheboard http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008RPYB0U/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1with the hyper 212 evo which seems to fit this motherboard, and it is a 970 chipset. Is this a suitable motherboard, I know it is a cheap one but i really cant go above that price because of my budget on this.

you've chosen a great motherboard it' da best in the price. go for it.
