(My english is really bad 🙁 sorry for that )
Hello,
I need help my amd 860k cpu is overheating i dont know what to do!
idle temp is 60-70c* / load 90-105c* (while playing conter strike global offensive)
i changed thermal paste few times and still the same result.
i have stock cooler
PC specs:
CPU: AMD 860K QUAD CORE 3.7Ghz
GPU: MSI R7 370 2GB DDR5 OC
MB: ASRock FM2A78M-DG3+
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz
HDD: 1T WD
PS: Corsair VS series VS550W

I meant to get a better cooler ( CM Hyper 212 EVO) but i heard that other guys has replaced stock cooler with 212 evo and they still get the same temp.

I also check thermal margin with AMD Overdrive

Any suggestions?

1. you idal temp is way to high, are you sure that your heatsink is on properly?
2. Most CPU's shut down when they go past 100 degrees
i had the sam problem and to fix mine, my heat sink is not seated proberly

That Overdrive information says something very different. A blue Thermal overhead of 62 degrees is a decent idle and a blue overhead of 20 at load, is plenty. Thermal margin means how much hotter it could get before problems would arise.

Whatever you are using to read your temperatures outside Overdrive is lying to you.
