I need some help!!!!!! I replaced my amd 8350 with a amd 9370 and my gtx760 with a gtx 970 it is on a asus 990 sabertooth motherboard along with 16 gigs of gskill ram. I got it all together and ran test on it. My old build was getting 60 fps but when I tested the new cpu and gpu it dropped to 56 fps. the temps are staying at 40c. What could possibly causing the problem. This is driving me nuts. I ran the test with just replacing the cpu and with the gpu and when I did that it was showing a drop from my original set up. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

thing is the sabertooth 990fx with the rev2 and gen3 rev2 claims to support the 220w chips [funny thing is before the 220w chips came out they were also speced for 140w ,hmmmm..... ] go figure

the old sabertooth 990fx does not

[old]--Supports CPU up to 140 W

anyway issues with the 220w chips are common and all you can do is join there club [and a last time asus owner [sabertooth 990fx] I feel for you ] my ''last'' 3 asus was my ''last''

good luck
you replaced an 8350 with an overclocked 8350?
Why didnt you just overclock the 8350?

Off hand, I'd say since you are getting 40c on a 9370 that you have an excellent cooling solution and therefore had a better overclocked setup with the 8350...

power supply is a thermaltake 750 watt and I have a new noctua cpu cooler. I put it on my sons motherboard and it works flawlessly getting 110 fps so I think it is the motherboard that thing cost alot BUMMER
