Hey Forum!

The title says most of the story, but I am still curious. I just bought this motherboard and installed it along with my AMD FX6300 and GTX 760. Soon, not to soon though, I plan to upgrade from the FX6300. As many may know, the FX6300 is a 120 watt CPU, and the FX9590 is a 220 Watt CPU. My motherboard says that the max wattage CPU it supports is 120. I checked the questions section of Amazon where many had asked the same question I did, and people were met with answers of "yes it will work." I don't think this is right, but I am still curious if this combo would work.

Thanks for reading all this and answering!

Edit: My bad if I didn't make it clear. I already have the Asus 970 Pro Mobo. Im just seeing if the 9590 would work stable with it

Would you say the 8370 is easier to overclock than an 8350 or an 8320? Those are two other processors I've been recommended a lot. I'm just looking for something better than the 6300

It's an older post but just to leave a comment for those who still want to upgrade, Aura can handle FX 9590 even if motherboard manufacturer said otherwise and probably do not recomend that, I've seen some people pair these two without problems.
here's the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqLmNGDyxQU he leave good comments too.
