For gaming will i see a good improvment from a 965 to a 8350 or is it not worth upgrading?

Don't run games simultaneously that is crazy! Chill out on your CPU.
Plus, you want a processor with better singlethread performance, I think your X4 there tops the 8350 if I remember, so stick with that for another year.
