Amd 970 gaming mobo may need bios update before using vishera cpus

Hi I'm currently looking at buying the msi 970 gaming motherboard with the fx-6300 processor but on pc part picker it gives the warning AMD 970 chipsets may need bios update before using vishera CPUs is this something I need to be worried about?

I use the same cpu with a gigabyte board and I do not remember updating the motherboard. However, BIOS updates have now become relatively simple, so there isn't much for you to worry about. Also, why are you getting the 970 chipset? The 990fx chipset offers a lot more overclocking potential. The GA-990FXA-UD3 is a very good choice.
