Hello,

Using an AMD A-10 6800k with stock heatsink/cooler now my question is the cpu gets around 70-77 C° while playing games.
Is it bad playing games at this temperature while the Max Temp according to AMD is 74C° ?

Damric made an awesome sticky about this. There is no third party app that accurately can tell you core or socket temps etc... There is one app, AMD overdrive that will show you your thermal margin. Think of it as headroom. An example is today I overclocked my A10-5800 to 4544 MHz. I fired up Prime95 to check stability. When I first launched AMD Overdrive 61 C thermal margin. After I ran Prime95 I got down to 20 C thermal margin. No guesswork no anything.

Its not overclocked, case I cant say wich it is but its definitly cheap though.
I have the case opened however.
Also Im using Aida64, HWMonitor and the MSI Click Bios 2 wich both show temp reading wich look very accurate.
In Idle 47C° and while playing stuff like EVE Online with 2 accounts I get around 65C°.
However if I fire up games like Assassins Creed or Skyrim it goes up to 75°.

Im not using the integrated graphics card anymore and thats why I think im getting accurate cpu readings (Im sure it was all wrong before).

So what happens if I keep playing now at Max CPU temp? Will it damage my cpu on long term or what ?

I just stress tested this with this.
Idle I have 44C° Thermal Margin and while under Load it goes down to 2C°. What does 2C° exactly tell you ?
