I have a hp pavilion p7-1534 and I wanted to upgrade the APU in it to the AMD A10-5800k. I got it and the motherboard which is a MSI MS-7778 does not have the clips to hook the heatsink in while the APU already in is screwed in. Is there a frontplate that is compatible with the motherboard to place the heatsink in with voiding the warranty?

It's an HP computer, they use their own heatsink. You'll be lucky to find anything that matches up. I've seen HP/Dell/etc brands that the hole spacing is different, etc and you can't use any other cooler.

Judging by the shape of the holes on the motherboard an LGA 1150 cooler should fit, even though thats an intel socket... Not sure why HP would do that though. But the stock amd cooler wont, since its a clip.
