So I have an amd a10 5800k apu, and a msi a75ma-e35 motherboard. using the stock cooler. with a roswill line m case that has two fans one on the front sucking air (120mm) and whatever the next size down is blowing air out on the back.
In the bios I sit doing nothing for 5 minutes. The tempature just increases by 1 degrees slowly. In a five minute session it went from 45-60c? this cant be accurate?
using HWMonitor and prime95 the cpu tempature spikes to 90 this is 15 degrees above the max of 75(also the cpu temp states its running at 50c when idle). With prime 95 The cpu socket tempatures sit around 50c, and this goes the same with the integrated 7660D graphics temp at 50c.
The socket temp and the gpu temp seem reasonable and would make sense, but the cpu reading is off the charts!? I would expect some sluggish preformance at the heat it states (90c) but it still runs lightning fast doing basic things like browsing and streaming video while prime95 is running aswell.
If the cpu was 90c on full load then the gpu that is inside the chip aswell as the socket the cpu is in couldn't possibly be 50c. can I be safe to say that the cpu tempature reading is incorrect and find my current tempature via the socket and gpu readings?
