Currently clocked at 4.1 Mhz, gets between 42-56 degrees idle. When launching up a program it jumps up to around 70-75 for a few seconds before slowly going down into the high 50s and low 60s. gaming it averages around 58-67, with some games at about 70-72.

I have an evo 212 and use arctic silver 5. The only thing i can think of that can cause these higher than normal temperatures is when the heat sink slides around when i mount it. Other than that i have no idea what could be the problem. I apply the right amount, make sure everythings off of it beforehand, and yeah. :/

My optimal temperatures would be in the mid 30s while idle 50-60 while gaming.

in my experience, i had a8-6600k the temp spikes comes from when the cpu uses turbo boost. so i disabled that and overclocked to the speed of the turbo boost and i got stable 60-70 temps on load. but i was using a stock cooler not a 212 evo.

those apu's tend to run hot.
