AMD A10-7800 vs Core i5-4460

For s system that won't be used for gaming and without a dedicated graphics card but heavy multitasking, lots of chrome windows opened at the same time, iTunes, YouTube, excel, flash video, which CPU do you guys recommend?

For a system that is NOT gaming, really either one of them would do you just fine.

For heavy multitasking (or gaming) the i5 will run laps around the a10

The i5 for efficiency and suvivability in the long run in term.

the i5 would be best for those tasks. You could also take an fx6300 or 8320 and pair it with a cheap gfx card.

I think for his needs, the HD4600 would suffice.

However, the i5-6400 skylake with HD 530 would be a strong consideration of mine. That for just a few dollars for than what I'm seeing on Newegg, over the 4460

And was going to re-use 320gb 7200rpm hard drive from old desktop
Already have an OS
$600 tax in with no dvd drive since the old one is IDE


What would you guys do?
