Hello, I just bought the following set-up:
APU: AMD A10 - 7860k
RAM: Corsair Vengenace 8Gb (4GBx2) DDR3 2400MHz
MB: F2A68HM-HD2
PSU: EVGA 500W 80 plus white
2x Samsung 160GB HD (had them hanging around for some time)
And I've installed a few games, such as GTA V.
I bought this build mainly because of these gameplay videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9cPn-jDjd0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3v4GyV_a2c
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LM-HBi0F1xQ
This is the first APU build I've ever built, and from what I studied, APU's gaming performance is heavily dependent on the memory installed;
That said, I'm having trouble getting half the FPS displayed on the videos, at much lower resolutions (1360x768, 1270x720), with the lowest settings, the game's average FPS is constantly around 25fps, maximum of 30fps, so my guess is that the RAM frequency is wrong.
I've checked around and people said that I'd need to enable the X.M.P. on the UEFI, and doing so made it display the correct memory frequency there (2400MHz instead of 1333MHz), but on Windows 10 Task Manager, under Memory, it still displays 1333MHz. I thought I could simply ignore that information, but the performance I've been having suggests me that the speed might still be wrong. Here are some CPU-Z screens:
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
