AMD A4-5300 vs Intel Pentium G630

For the same price which do you think is better?

What are the PROs & CONs of both processors?

Better is all about perspective. Depends on what you will use this computer for and at what prices you can get them. For example in a notebook I would like the A4, but for a PC i would rather take the Pentium.

A4-5300 : Has generally better integrated graphics than most I3s.
Uses less power.

Pentium : Faster CPU.(x86 processing)
Will game better than the A4 if you add a graphics card like the HD7750.

Let me ask you what is your budget and what do you want this PC for?

If you are going to buy a discrete GPU, then go for the Pentium G630. It is much better.

If you aren't going to buy a discrete GPU, I'd recommend the A4-5300.

Then i would pick the G630, it would run most indie games with onboard graphics and would give you the option to add a graphics card and it doesn't sacrifice x86 performance...

It would do office and general work A LOT better too...

Well, overall the Pentium G630 is a more powerful CPU. But if you are going to rely on the integrated graphic to play "inde games", then the A4-5300 would be better.

Other than gaming, nothing you do seems CPU intensive. So for you, the A4 is likely the better choice.

I'm currently using a Macbook with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU. I usually open a lot of browsers and the same time and some applications. And I find it annoying when apps or browsers open slowly.

Which would open applications faster?

Or even boot faster?

The one with the faster processor A4 or still G630 for having better IPC?

The G630 is afste, not he A4. You application that do not have GPU hardware acceleration(most app and browsing) the G630 is better. The G630 will also be better for multitasking.
