A year ago I received http:// as a gift. I do a little gaming so I installed a GeForce GTX 750ti. However the dual core CPU is well..a dual core CPU. Would like to upgrade to the best quad core CPU the motherboard can handle. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
Grab cpu-z and get the make and model of the motherboard, go to motherboard manufactures support website and lookup the cpu support list for the board.
Don't bump posts, it's a violation of the rules of conduct.

So I installed a A10 6800K cpu on my MSI A68HM-E33 V2 mobo. Reset CMOS. Used M-Flash for BIOS. Wouldnt boot. Booted from USB no problem. Updated Bios in Windows from USB. Rebooted, would not boot from HD. Still boots no problem from USB. Any ideas why it wont boot from the HD?
As long as you haven't somehow overwritten the boot sectors on your hard drive, it should be a matter of ordering things properly in the boot section of your BIOS.
Not sure how that would happen just installing the same Bios that's on the stick. I reordered the boot in the Bios however drive fails every time, and usb stick works. Bizarre doesnt make sense to me.
On the bright side the chip is recognized and gaming performance has improved dramatically. lol
Im a bonehead, order was incorrect. I thought the device labeled Toshiba was my DVD burner, it was in fact my HD. Question- when gaming my FPS caps out at 60 even though its capable of more. Is this a setting buried in Nvidia control panel somewhere?
