AMD-A6, Lenevo G50-45

Hi Guys,

I have AMD-A6, Lenevo G50-45, i have also upgraded RAM to 16gb , But now when i am trying to install Oracle Virtual Box and windows 2012 -64 bit , it say that VT-X is not enabled on cpu, I tried to enabled it from BIOS but there is not option for it and without VT-X , AMD-V , virtualization cannot run on my laptop ...

Guys please help me to enable vt-x and amd-v on my laptop . so that i can run virtual system on my laptop.

any help will be appreciated.

I did a quick Google search on this. I saw a BIOS update that's needed before you can use virtualization: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/g50-45-notebook-lenovo/downloads/ds100823 .

Although we generally don't like answers of "Google it," a quick scan through the results of a search for "Lenevo G50-45 VT-x" may be useful. Will Lenovo tech support talk to you?

Thank you very much for your reply Wyomingknott, I already visited url you gave me but when i show summary of changes i did not find anything related to virtulization (vt-x, amd-v) so did not tried it, I even wrote email to Lenevo support but have not recieved any reply from them. When i visted some forums - many says that AMD-A6 does not support virtualization but if we see tech spec of processor it says amd-v available. I am very much confuse has to how to start my virtualization labs.
