AMD A8-5600K or AMD A10-6800K

Which would you recommend? Will be only use PC for internet browsing & just steam games.

I would go for the A10, but neither of them is meant for heavy gaming.

Either one would suffice but I'd suggest buying faster RAM no matter which one you choose, these towers ship with 1600mhz and these AMD APUs need 1833mhz or faster to run well.

In regards with the ram, how do I get it to 1833mhz? Do I remove the old one with a better ram or buy the same one and stick it in the free slot?

Well depending on what games you play you might be fine with the 1x8gb 1600mhz ram... but if you find you need a bit more performance then I'd suggest replacing it with either 2x4gb or 2x8gb ram at 1866 / 2133 / 2400mhz speeds, depending on what ram speeds the motherboard can support. The A8 & A10 series APUs really benefit from faster ram.

I only play steam games, nothing else. Also a bit of web surfing. So A10-6800K it is then! Unless someone can point me in another direction with a budget of £300.00
