AMD APU temps too high?

I have just completed my system overhaul and I am a bit concerned on the APU temps. I use to have a A6 3650 with the same cooler and board that never ran higher than 42*C under load. However, the new A8-3870K runs at about 46 during load. When playing Flight simulator x, temps are around 44*c to 46*, but I am getting around 50 Frames. Is this normal for this cpu?
Here are my system specs.

CPU- AMD A8 3870K
VIDEO CARD- ASUS RADEON R7 250
PSU-450W
HEATSINK- ZALMAN CPNX5
MOBO-MSI A55M-P33

Completely normal. Trust me. Some cpus can run at 80/90

I would suggest you try using AMD Overdrive and tell us the Thermal Margin you are getting. With the Thermal Margin and various other temperatures from other software you will be able to get a more accurate temperatures.

I would also check what kind of voltage the CPU is using and maybe comparing to how much the previous CPU uses.

the highest thermal margin on OD is 34*C and the cpu volts are the same at about 1.187 volts. Good temps on the GPU and chipset.
