I wondering is my AMD Athlon II X4 640 bottlenecking my GTX 680 i play crysis series and battlefield 3 thinking upgrading to a i5 3350P and asrock z75 pro 3

So.. in conclusion this guy mentioned nothing about him OC'ing and your 'comparison' chart proved nothing about GAMING performance. Its better in gaming performance bro.. even saying that I'd recommend getting the 3470 since its much better for not much more..

You use the word "much" incorrectly. It's not a big difference in performance. He's looking to play Crysis, which utilizes more cores then the average game.

The FX-8350 is a great CPU, and not locked may I add, which is capable of playing all of the Crysis games he wants. He can overclock it to his liking but it's still a good CPU nevertheless.

i dont overclock i have in the past. i have a motherboard that will take the FX-8350. i have order the asrock Z75 pro3. just in my mind i would think the I5 will superior to the fx-8350 and judging by tomshardware minumum frame rates with the fx-8350 and gtx 680 and crysis 3. then again i game at 1600x900 used msi afterburn to monitor FPS in crysis 3 there anywhere from 35 to 75 FPS depending on the gpu clock and utilization

I don't understand what you just said. You have a motherboard that supports the 8350, but you're not using it? Are you saying you get 35-75 frames with your current processor? Because if you do, then you shouldn't upgrade at all.

Yes the motherboard i Use is a Asrock 770 iCafe which supports the fx-8350 with my current bios revision by the cpu support list but im a little iffy about if that true since it white AM3 socket instead of a black am3+ socket.
