Amd Athlon X3 450 is it good for gaming?

Solution
Well, the quad core may will help a bit with the extra core, but it is 300MHz slower than the X3. Basically the same game-wise: http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/725/AMD_Athlon_II_X3_450_vs_AMD_Athlon_II_X4_635_%28rev._C3%29.html

I'll assume for now that your 700W PSU is of good quality (since you won't tell me the make/model). And I still don't know how much you can afford ("im in a low state budget"). But anything more than the GTX 750 Ti or the AMD R9-270 would be bottlenecked by the CPU. The R9-270 would probably be the best choice even if there is a small amount of CPU bottleneck: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&IsNodeId=1&N=100007709%20600481061
Yes, that processor is on the CPU support list with any BIOS. http://www.asrock.com/mb/NVIDIA/N68-S3%20FX/?cat=CPU
The Athlon II X3 450 is an old triple core CPU. But with the right gfx card, it can still run games at mid settings at 720p resolution... and some at 1080p. Gaming online on a busy server may be a bit much for it to keep up with all the other players, but single player gaming should be fine.
