Hi tomsharware! I have found a CPU I've never heard of before, and allot of people are saying how great it is, and its right around the price of the Pentium, just a bit more. Also, some are saying the Pentium stutters, so I need someone to clear up these conspiracies. I will be OCing each CPU. My budget is 600$ or less base total with OS. 80% of the time im going to be playing WOW, and the 20% I will be playing casual games and maybe games like alien isolation and such.
Thanks,

I would personally go with the Athlon. It has much superior architecture to its athlon 750k counterpart, and has 4 threads instead of the 2 threads of the pentium.

Keep in mind the single core performance of the pentium outperforms the athlon, but some games take more than 2 threads. Most don't, but that also means you will experience lag when trying to listen to music while playing the game or trying to do any sort of multitasking.

The pentium does provide a later upgrade path for a better cpu down the road (although AMD is committed to the FM2+ socket till at least 2016 as well).

Both are good budget choices, but I always prefer more threads.
