Hi guys.so a relative just asked me this question "are hp computers any good" He then showed me what he was planning on spending £600 on .It was an all in one 27" hp with 256gb ssd and a random i5 cpu and 8 gigs of ram .

He wants to use the rig for running his 3d printer some light gaming and general browsing . I have not built a pc since i built the rig i am using right now which is an i7 7700 .So i am a bit out of touch with pricing and bang per buck performance. I put together this build on paper and he wants to go ahead and have me build it. My question is .Am i doing his cash justice ?? I am mainly concerned about the motherboard and cpu bundle. Is it overkill? And is the rest of the rig compatible?

THE BUILD

Cougar MG120-G Compact Micro-ATX Gaming Case with Glass Side Window £35.99
G.Skill Aegis DDR4 8GB PC 3000 CL16 £31.25
Be Quiet! 500W System Power 9 PSU £49.98
Kingston A400 120GB M.2 SSD £24.99
MSI B550-A PRO DDR4 ATX Motherboard + AMD Ryzen 5 5600G AM4 Processor Bundle £284.99
Seagate BarraCuda 2TB Desktop Hard Drive 3.5" 7200RPM 256MB Cache - ST2000DM008 £42.99
Cougar Aqua 120 mm CPU Liquid Cooling with Addressable RGB and a Remote Controller £46.98
Logitech MK270 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Desktop Set, Black £21.99

Total including vat and delivery £544.81

My family all know me as the goto guy for this stuff. But like i said i have not built a rig for a while

120GB SSD is too small. Minimum should be 250GB.
Don't spend money on liquid cooling, IMO. Get simple air cooler.
Get a matched set of 2x8GB RAM. Especially with an APU using the built-in graphics, you need the memory space and bandwidth.

The 120 gb ssd is simply for the os. And the reason i chose that cooler is he chose a windowed case. and it has addressable rgb on the pump. Lol terrible reason i know.So ditch the fancy coling and try get an extra 8gb of ram is what your saying i guess

Yes, but you will not be happy with a 120GB "OS" only device. There is lots of things that get installed onto the C: drive. You can't control them. Your friend with spend too much time trying to clean up space on the C: drive. Not worth it.
