Hello Pal. You dont build an 1100 $ gaming rig with A.M.D. parts, thats 800$ territory.
For that money you use an i5 4690K and overclocking Z97 board.It should still only total 1000.

He is right. You also don't put a GTX960 in a $1100 build. You use a GTX970.

You hardly ever will want AMD in todays build. I like CTurbos build above or replace the i5 with a Xeon 1231v3 drop the cooler and change the motherboard to a GA-H97-D3H

This build will perform faster than a i5-4690k overclocked.

Very easily you will triple the performance with the build I posted or with CTurbos build if you are itching to overclock for some reason.

This build will perform faster than a i5-4690k overclocked.

Although performance would be very similar between the two, the i5 would be better in most games. I am not a fan of overclocking, I just want to clear up that statement because it's not true all the time. I chose the 4690k + Z97 because a $1100 can easily be SLI ready if needed.

Larger SSD , much more powerful graphics card , and not the expensive Windows PRO version

CT you know as good as me that the i5 overclocked is still no match for the Xeon.
It is also easy to make the Xeon build SLI ready. Change H97 > Z97.
This will perform roughly 20% better than the AMD build and roughly 3-5% better than the i5 option.
