I'm running Win 7 64bit. I am trying to install Catalyst 15.7 drivers for my XFX R9 390, to test them, because of a problem with Crimson I don't want to get into explaining.

I DL'd the Catalyst 15.7.1 drivers from a link on Gur3D because I couldn't find a way to get them on AMD, as it seemed to want to default to only offering me the latest drivers.

I dbl checked and the driver that downloaded is 'amd-catalyst-15.7.1-with-dotnet45-win7-64bit' After installing I checked the logfile, and by my read it installs v 15.2

Does this look right for a Catalyst 15.7.1 install?

Solution
catalyst package number (in your case, 15.2 or 15.7) has little to do with the driver version. Those two numbers, while similar, are not same.

For the record, crimsom 16.1 package has driver version number 15.301.1201 (According to you, that means same as 15.3 which I honestly doubt)

Thanks that's what I needed to know

Thanks, can you provide a link for those? If I type in the URL shown on the first one it doesn't bring me to that page. The second doesn't work for me either.
Thanks

which is why i posted the screenshots. AMD dislikes direct linking :S
if you go
www.amd.com
Hover over drivers+support tab(near the top as shown in image)
choose OS version you like on the floating menu
following page should have the latest 1/2 downloads with links on right as shown on second image.
