Hello, I wanted to buy a pc with amds Fx-8350 and 12 gb of ddr3 ram. Then I read something like that amds cpus aren't really compatible with 12 gb of ram, just with 8 or 16. Is that true? Thanks for your answers.
It isn't 6x2 sry. It's 3x4 gb. I don't know very much about ram, so could you tell me if 1600 is a rather fast, slow or standard clock speed? Thank you.
1600 is pretty much entry level on todays systems and perfectly fine - 3x4GB should work out a 2x4 or 2x8GB would be preferable so all would run in dual channel, with 3x4GB (and if your mobo supports AMDs version of flex mode) then your DRAM would effectively run 8GB in dual channel and the odd 4 GB in single channel mode which is not really a big deal
