AMD cpu diagnostic and repairs

Im looking for a way to check my AMD core for any faults or problems, recently my games have been crashing my computer almost 1 min after the game starting off the main menu and i suspect the core may be to blame so i need to know how to run some sort of diagnostic or stress test for free on my core safely and if there is a problem how to fix it.
if anyone could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated

It is highly unlikely to be the CPU because anything which can crash the system after 1 minute should crash during bootup...
Instead look at cooling (fans spinning, dust, etc)
Then look at the OS.
Then look at peripherals.
