AMD CPU for a new Rig

I'm building a new gaming rig (budget)

I really want an AMD CPU, So FX 8350 or A10-7850K is of great interest to me.
But FX series and its AM3 Socket has pretty much no future and I'm not even sure if AMD next gen APU's will still use FM2+

So my dillema is the following:
Will FX 8350 be able to last 5+ more years for Medium to High Setting Next Gen Game at 1080p without overclocking (I will update my RAMs and Graphics Card as necessary, but I only replace MoBo and Proc every 5+ years)

Can Kaveri based system match FX 8350 processor wise? (I'm getting a discrete Graphics card), if not what is their FX or intel equivalent in performance .And do you believe more APU's will be released for FM2+ or is the same case as FX where Kaveri is pretty much the last model for its socket?

I am also considering getting Intel, but after the last few weeks I have my own reasons for preferring AMD

Yes, the FX-8350/8370 will be the better of the choices. The AM3+ socket may not be dead yet. Rumors keep changing. Besides, there is nothing planned for the FM2+ that can catch the FX-83xx.
The Kaveri will not catch the FX CPUs, it has to L3 cache. And the FX lineup can run more watts.

Will the FX 8350 last me 4-5 more years for gaming applications?

very possible.. dx12 will take better advantage of fx cpu's

Will it physically last? Yes. Will it be too slow to keep up with the newest cards that will be required for games at that time? Hard to say w/o a crystal ball.

your better off with a i5 over a fx if your just gaming.. they can keep up with i7's in many things just not gaming
