i have an amd fx 8320. while i was gaming i got warning saying the processor was overheating at 60c. so i shutted down the system and removed the cpu. i prevoiuslu had and intel processor which was tightly clasped and i had literally pull it out. i did the same thing for amd processor and it can out easily and slipped out of my hand and fell in the gpu.the pins were slightly bent by about two or three degrees max . i had to look closely to find it was bent. so i tried putting it back in socket and could not get it in correctly. when i applied for the warranty site said bent pins arent applicable for warranty but this is very slightly bent. if warranty doesnt come forward how can i solve this proble, will straightening the pins help?

Solution
If you bend the pins, there isn't much you can do.

One option is carefully bend it back with a razor blade so that the bend pins are lined up exactly as the rest. However, do that at your own risk. Know that it might not work at all.

I used a combination of a credit card and a tooth pick. they must align perfectly...for future reference, dont remove your CPU when your system says its over heating. just turn the computer off and remove the side panel. you probably have a bad CPU cooler so look into replacing that.

Credit card is another common method, however, credit cards tend to be thicker than razor blades, and they are often curved/bend by the wallet, so be careful when using them.

Also bending pins can actually break them off completely thus be aware of that as well.
