As far as i know it's the best AMD APU until Ryzen releases one. I just want to make sure you are aware this will game but not very well, you'll want a stronger CPU and dedicated GPU for Gaming at good settings and frame rates. What Motherboard do you plan to pair it with? You need to make sure it's compatible if you are re-using an old one. Hope this helps

Better to get an intel g4600 or g4620 and use the integrated hd630 graphics, performance is similar to an amd apu but you'll have a stronger cpu for when you do add a graphics card later
