I uninstalled my previous drivers using the AMD clean up tool then proceeded to install the Crimson. While I was playing my game (Assassins Creed Syndicate@High settings Sapphire Nitro R9 380 4gb vram) suddenly hung then my monitor went black saying no display detected(WTF) I restarted my pc and booted up fine then played it again for it to be repeated then BAM black screen. I just bought my GPU last week. I have gained some performance(Less stuttering etc) on the crimson. On the other hand my old driver Catalyst Beta 15.11.1's is working fine but it crashes(AMD display has stopped responding) from time to time (UGH) What could I possibly do? Is my card the problem? Note that I just installed a fresh copy of windows 10 Pro before installing the new GPU and its drivers. I might go back to green after this problem is resolved (GTX 960 4gb)

its such a good card but goddamn the drivers are driving me crazy lmao

Solution

I too have been having the same issue with my r9 380 gpu with crimson driver, though this happens only and only when I play any assassin's creed game, they all work fine with catalyst driver, no crash or anything but then ac syndicate stutters on it, crimson fixed that stuttering but then again I get black screen in that driver, people on amd's community says that it could be a bug in crimson that's causing this all.
