AMD Crimson Stuck on Analyzing System

Your video card isn't supported on Crimson. AMD has stated that the driver is being provided as is and is not guaranteed to work. Make sure you are downloading the correct version for you card. If it doesn't work you are just going to have to revert back to catalyst.

That is incredibly incorrect.

I would suggest uninstalling your current Catalyst drivers, removing the HD7700, and then try installing Crimson using the APU graphics engine.

Crimson may be trying to setup dual-graphics, and that is not possible with your APU and the HD7700.

Probably better to avoid the Crimson driver right now as it seems to be killing cards.

hopefully i dont have the fan issue however overdrive resets to default clocks after reboot, while being on start up. looks like crimson driver is full of problems at the moment.! better wait then!

ok then, even though my card is worth basically nothing nowadays, it is better than forcefully using my APU's graphics. I'll wait for crimson to be repaired or whatever. What in crimson is killing the cards? it it overclocking or just purely the drivers?

It's just a borked driver. Nvidia has a few in their history as well. Wasn't tested enough or something. I'd imagine we will see some sort of hotfix pretty soon as AMD doesn't have the money to replace too many people's cards.

AMD just released a hot fix for the fan issue. Should be fixed now.

I tried installing without my graphics card in, didn't work. I also can't seem to uninstall anything. Just sits at searching for instances or something

I attempted a manual uninstall. I deleted everything I got when searching for AMD and ATI in my c:\ drive, what else should I do

I cant download the drivers, they removed all download links, except the ones on the drop down menu which don't work anymore either. is it just me?

I successfully completed the display driver uninstall, didn't fix it 🙁

Try disabling the iGPU, it could be confusing the installer.

Installed Nov30 Crimson for my HD 7950 on top of old Catalyst last night with no issues. I'll check out how well it plays with my other utilities this evening.

Don't know if anything else can be done from your end. See if AMD can help but otherwise might just have to wait or revert.

AMD decided to leave no helpful information whatsoever and said that it is not a known issue, though i believe it is as I already reported it.

Just revert to the old catalyst control center. You are very fortunate to have mainstream support for your video card for so long. Can you use GPU-Z to make 100% certain your video card is indeed a 7700? If you have even a slightly lower model, it would not be supported.
