AMD Crossfire problems.

Hello,
I have in crossfire an XFX and 7870tahiti and a xfx 7950 (Tahiti). When I play Hitman: Absolution the usage is the same on both cards and the graph follows the same pattern on both. But when I play Battlefield 4, (Ultra@1080p with 200% resolution scale) the cards are at ~20%-30% usage so I only get ~40fps and its very unstable. I feel like they can work harder (~80% each) so I can get better fps. My PC has windows 7 Home Permium 64bit and an FX 8320 CPU.

ugg, that brings back some bad memories. i had an 8320 and two XFX black 7950s last year.. and i had major issues with BF3 and BF4.

Start with googling "disable crossfire ULPS in registry" I had the same issue as you, that was the main thing I had to do for BF4.

for BF3 i had to undervolt and underclock them or I'd get direct X crashes, no idea why.

no, you have to disable the crossfire ULPS = Ultra Low Power State.

you have to change a value in the registry at about 6 different places, then it will stop trying to run your cards so low.

not that hard, takes 5 minutes
