Ok so i have HP probook 4730s and im running Windows 7 SP1 64bit edition. When i try to install AMD DISPLAY DRIVER 4470M it goes to black screen with underscore in the left corner. When i do power shut down and start Windows it freezes at startup logo. I need to start in safe mode and uninstall driver.

I suggest you get the manufacturer video driver, the thing with laptops the chipset may be tweaked for that motherboard and is not compatible with AMD website drivers...

1.download this and save it to desktop http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=5060894&swItemId=ob_101995_1&swEnvOid=4058
2.Get DDU, http://www.wagnardsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=709
3, Goto safe mode and run the DDU program and remove all traces of previous drivers, then reboot your laptop it will find basic VGA graphics
4. install as administrator the drivers saved on your desktop from HP

if you try to just install the driver without removing properly all entered in system it could not only not solve the issue but generate more.
