AMD Driver Crash (7770)

I'm using an ASUS HD7770 and it was running fine until a few today. My display drivers crashed 20 times in the span of about 5 minutes, and Minecraft now crashes the driver as well. I updated everything from AMD CCC, but it didn't fix everything. I have restored Windows and flushed the drivers as well. Whose end is this on, and how can it be fixed? As a side note, everything is at the same clock speed it game out of the box as. Will underclocking fix this?

Redownload the drivers. Don't use auto detect and install app. Also if you are using third party programs like MSI afterburner, restore to defaults and uninstall. before installing drivers.

I don't think underclocking will help.
By the way, did you install a new program/app/game that could have caused the display drivers to crash. Or make any hardware changes/upgrades? Did you get any error messages? Sorry for all the question, but the more details the better...

If you are about to install the latest AMD driver (i.e. Catalyst 14.4 WHQL) I suggest you do this manually, meaning download 14.4 (and save it your desktop for example), uninstall the existing driver manually (go to Program and Features via the Control Panel), by the way make sure you're not running any programs in the background.

Ok, so I forgot to answer your questions. No new anything. Updated Windows, but this didn't occur directly after. No error messages after the horrid storm of driver failures. Today, I only got 1 crash. Will flushing make this worse or better?

In I do by very best to keep my system as clean as possible, meaning, only install and run the most-up-to-date drivers required by your components in your system. Also, in general, try not to run too many applications in the background, and turn them off when installing new drivers.

Yes, I refer to a complete uninstall and fresh install of any piece of software as a "flush". I have done so, and experienced no driver crashes as of yet, but will keep this thread open until the end of the day, and should everything be fixed, you will be awarded Best Answer.
