Question AMD Driver, what is the "optional" version?

amds driver page shows two driver variants, just the driver and another version named optional.
whats the difference between the two?

"optional" generally indicates Beta.

"google" was a generic word, like Xerox or Bandaid.
Replace with your favorite search engine.
