AMD drivers on Intel CPU

So I just installed Smite, really excited to play it. In my excitement though, I realised too late that for some reason the install required me to install some AMD drivers...when I use an Intel CPU and Nvidia graphics card. I uninstalled the game.

Can that...damage my CPU? As far as I remember I couldnt actually skip it! This is probabley a bug.

But can an AMD driver damage an intel cpu? Thanks.

No, the AMD drivers will not damage the Intel CPU. Just go to www.amd.com and get the latest drivers for your AMD GPU and install them. Now worries.

My GPU is Nvidia though, I have no AMD product at all in my system

Which amd drivers? Maybe the game uses some tech created by AMD and requires your to download something in order to make it compatible with nvidia gpu.

If it's telling you to donwload the catalyst gpu drivers then that would be odd.

The install menu is forcing me to install some AMD CPU drivers during the install

CPU: I5-4690k
GPU - GTX 970
Mobo - Asus Z97-A
