Question amd echanced vsync

hello guys I don't understand what is that amd enhanced vsync is for? because when I use enhanced vsync in radeon game setting menu I got more lagging game experience which is very bad. I turn off the enhanced vsync and then I have better smooth gaming experience. Is something wrong? I don't understand this amd enhaced vsync is.

I am using rx 580 4gb sapphire pulse, 8gb ddr3 memory, and i5 3570 processor.
My monitor is LG with 60Hz adaptive resolution 1600x900

I have a simple rule when it comes to settings, if you enable something and bad things happen, don't use that setting unless you know you need it for something.
