Try a 295x2.

On BF4, for example, you could probably average ~30fps on medium. That will drop to ~20 when it gets thick, which is not really playable.
Most gamers think ~60fps is the ideal minimum. Many are getting 120-144hz monitors as 60fps is too low.

No freaking way. A single 290 will run games like BF4 at <50fps medium at 5670x1080
