AMD Fury vs Fury X

With the new Fury I'm curious if the card is going to have the same thing the Radeon r9 390 did. The 390 has a upgraded version called the 390x. The X was barely better than the 390 and hardley worth a extra hundred dollars
Now obviously the biggest plus of the Fury X is the water cooler but I want to know if performance wise if their really that different.
Also just to nip this in the bud I know the EVGA 980 ti is stronger at the moment but I'm getting a free sync monitor so I'm going AMD.

The non Fury is a right plan , save the cash.

There is also a chance of unlocking extra stream processes on a fury. This involves bios flashing so it might not apply if you aren't interested in doing it.

My r9 390 couldn't. However, a lot of people say that a high % of Fury cards have shaders just locked in their firmware.
