Looking to upgrade cpu, but also looking for the best deal.
Right now, I can get the 4130 for 59.99 + tax or the 4350 for 119.99 + tax.
What would you guys suggest? I was leaning towards the 4130 due to price/performance.
If it would be a bad choice, let me know.

Thanks!

Well, your GPU is good. Your board really isn't going to get you anywhere CPU wise. You would need a new board and CPU. Here are some options for you.

Intel i5

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4570 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock B85 Pro4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $259.98
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Xeon E3 AKA poor man's i7

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230 V3 3.3GHz...
The FX-4130 is a Bulldozer chip; many people called them "Faildozer" for good reason, as their performance was underwhelming.

Edit: from your current CPU, most likely only a FX-8320 would be a worthwhile upgrade. What motherboard do you have, and what CPU cooler?

If sticking with AMD, I agree with this 100%. You would need to go with an FX 8320 or an i5 4xxx for any performance improvement. What is it that you do that is making you want to upgrade? If it is gaming, you might be better off with GPU, depending on what you have now.

Only if overclocking. You will need a new motherboard to run that chip unless there is some crack BIOS for old nforce chipsets.

My FX 8320 suggestion included a motherboard. ;)

He might not understand why.

I also stated a new motherboard would be necessary, before I linked the builds. ;)
