amd fx 4300 with gtx 960 ssc?

[i try and budget]

im building a gaming pc. i guess im kind of on a budget. i already have the new gtx 960 ssc. i was gonna get an i3 4160 which is about 130$. the amd fx 4300 is 95 new on amazon. it also has 2 more physical cores and around the same amount of ghz as the i3 4160. will using the fx 4300 with the gtx 960 ssc be fine? or will it drop performance?

I would go with the i3 as it is a much more powerful processor than the fx 4300, as Intel CPU's are more powerful for the same frequency and even though the FX 4300 has more cores, those cores are weaker than the ones in the i3.

The fx 4300 probably wont hold back your gaming performance too much but it will bottleneck the GPU to some degree

Get the i3, and a good h81 board like the GA-H81M-HD3, you wont be experiencing any bottlenecks. Dont pick the AMD for the reasons that dude above me listed.

Hello i just read your thread and im thinking of gettign that graphics card i have an amd fx 4300 will i be experienceing a lot of bottlenecking i will mostly play a lot of gta v thanks in advance
