Hi, I just finished building my PC less than a week ago and I started to play some lower end games that I purchased before. For example I was just now playing construction simulator 2015 and when i checked speed fan and task manager i seems like my cpu usage is at around 80-95% please tell me if that is ok for this cpu. Also my temperature while idle(at desktop) my temperature is around 15-20 C but when I stress it it's at 42-44 C. Please tell me if these temps are ok. Lastly my graphics card reached around 86% and I know the higher the better and it was around 50 C, also tell me if these temps are ok.

My CPU is the fx-6300
My graphics card is the MSI 750ti

Thanks in advance.

What is your ambient temperature? CPU temp should not be less than the temp of the room it is in. 15 - 20 is cold, even in winter. Is the room completely unheated?
How are you measuring your temperatures?
I would only rely on AMD Overdrive. How much thermal overhead does it show on idle and under stress?

Ya, those temp readings don't look right. That being said, even using AMD Overdrive I am not getting accurate Temp readings on my FX6300 either. Currently reading a few degrees c below ambient. Might be something with the 6300. EasyTune6 shows the same incorrect temps as Overdrive.

By the way, I am using an older version of Overdrive that shows the ACTUAL TEMPS, not Thermal Margin. The newer version wasn't compatible with my Motherboard for some reason.

My room right now is about 20 C. I've used both HWMonitor and Speedfan to get my temperatures. Also I just installed Amd overdrive and it says that the thermal margin is around 50C. Is this normal? Also I just wanted to add that I'm not using the stock cooler, I'm currently using the cooler master hyper tx3. Lastly I'm guessing that my idle temperature are about 20 C because I have quite good airflow. I have 2 intake and 2 exhaust 120mm fans.

If AMD Overdrive is giving you accurate readings, a thermal margin of 50c is fine. That means that the cpu temp could rise 50c higher before the cpu throttles back to protect itself. A good rule of thumb is that idle temp will probably be about 10c higher than ambient. Of course there are many variables: Air flow, cooler used, the cpu used, etc.

Also this was my first pc build and I knew the basics on how to build it but I don't know all this technical stuff so I had a friend help me on deciding on the part could you take a look at this and tell me what you think.

This is supposed to be a gaming pc that plays most game at around 30 fps if not more, Also just to let you know, I was on a budget.

Lastly, since I know that my temperature are ok at being 20 C at idle.
Could you tell me what I could overclock to, if I ever choose to. Based on my temperatures when running at 3.5 MHz.

I was just joking. 80-90% while gaming may not be a problem. As to whether it is bottlenecking anything, are you noticing any problems with the video? Are you happy with the gaming experience? The 6300 can be overclocked, depending on your motherboard and PSU. But if overall you are happy with the results you are now getting I wouldn't worry too much about the percentages of CPU utilization.

Which CPU cooler are you using? If it is the stock cooler that came with the 6300, I would be careful not to go overboard. Yes, you can increase the multiplier in overdrive. Keep an eye on your temps though. I am not a expert in overclocking, so I will defer to others in that regard.
