AMD FX-6300 CPU power compatibility - 4 pin vs. 8 pin

I am considering buying the AMD FX 6300 processor, and am looking to buy this -> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128602 <- Gigabyte 970 motherboard from newegg.com. As you may notice, on the website provided above, it says the motherboard only has a 4-pin CPU power connector. Will this be enough to power the 95w AMD FX 6300? Or does this CPU require an 8-pin connector? Why or why not?

Yes that will be fine. The added 4 pins you often see are for extra power required for overclocking the biggest processors to extremes. Like the FX-8350. You will be fine.
